Golden glow. An exceptional home for a family

Suburbs of Warsaw, 550 sqm

In search of their place on Earth after returning from Great Britain, a couple with a teenage son chose the green surroundings on the outskirts of Warsaw. The beautiful wooded area created an ideal setting for building a home, where the family’s story was to unfold from now on. Our task was to provide the residents with everyday comfort, determined by high-quality finishes and careful selection of furnishings. According to the investors’ wishes, we paid particular attention to the design of the hallway with stairs. This space welcomes the residents and guests entering from the outside, while also connecting the living room with the dining area. Polish artists and art conservators working in Milan, unrivaled in techniques such as fresco or sgraffito, created a unique wall decoration here. The work lasted several weeks. The surface of the wall was first protected with multiple layers of bolus clay, and then manually covered with Florentine 23.5-carat gold leaf. Finally, a motif of blooming cherry blossoms was painted on it – a spectacular yet harmonizing element with the very classic character of the interior. The effect was complemented by marble stairs specially designed by us for this space, a brass balustrade, and double-wing doors. Over time, the staircase area is intended to become a home art gallery, initiated by the first painting by Roman Mazanek.
