The showroom of the iconic Italian brand, opened in a historic townhouse at Mokotowska Street 57, is a manifestation of the maturity of the luxury goods market in Poland. We had the pleasure of co-creating this space with designers from Poliform. Our primary task was to combine their clear vision of presenting furniture and accessories with the requirements of the historic space. Since the venue required a thorough renovation, creative activities were closely intertwined with serious implementation challenges – from conducting arrangements with the conservation office to delivering hundreds of executive drawings. On the other hand, we could enjoy designing lighting, overseeing many important details, and allowing ourselves a bit of extravagance in the guest bathroom arrangement. Wanting this small interior to impress, we reached for hand-applied structural stucco. Its texture enriched not only the walls but also the doors to the toilet room. The graphite mirror, which creates a semi-theatrical effect, also optically enlarges the interior and allows one to contemplate the golden lamp. However, the room’s greatest ornament is the sculptural washbasin made of pink-grey marble on a walnut-veneered pedestal. It proves that in our projects, we focus on natural materials even where they are rarely found.
