Julia Fałowska is one of the top specialists in the field of cosmetology. When she and her husband approached us to design the interiors of their beauty clinic in Warsaw, we had no doubt that the space needed to be truly exceptional. An almost complete vision of the interior – forms, materials, colors, textures – came to life in a single night. It was like a wave of inspiration! And when we soon met with the clients, it became clear that our vision of the project aligned with theirs in a surprisingly seamless way. From the sensory experience to the selection of noble, natural materials, and the appreciation for handcrafted elements made by master artisans – the creators behind many of the project’s unique details.
Visitors are welcomed by a reception desk that resembles a woman’s vanity or dressing table. Like the adjacent custom cabinetry, it is clad in a patterned “birdseye maple” veneer with a matte lacquer finish. In contrast, on the opposite side of the entrance stands a bold console in both form and color, finished with glossy California burl veneer. Minimalist inlays of patinated brass add a refined accent here. The same metal was used for the sculptural, lightweight shelves displaying the clinic’s selection of beauty products. Behind them is a subtly illuminated fabric backdrop. Speaking of sculpture – it’s worth noting the hand-modeled wall relief in plaster, located behind the sofa in the waiting area. It harmoniously blends with the travertine-clad wall beside it.
Adjacent to the clinic’s entrance zone is a bathroom, its walls clad in softly tinted mirrors. While they reflect the surroundings, they also create a semi-dreamlike atmosphere. As in the reception area, lighting plays a key role here – not just in illuminating the space, but in shaping a welcoming and warm ambiance. These fixtures combine practicality with artistic expression.”
